Marksbury Car Boot Sale

It’s funny how I politely voiced about Marksbury carboot charging £2 entry fee for children and I’ve been booting out of the group…. ☀️

In what right minds would a carboot charge £2 entry fee, including children of all ages, with my son being 3 and my niece being 1!

For example, when an under 2 is free on an airplane and can travel for free. ✈️

These car-boots are meant to be day trips for families that can’t afford to go anywhere else due to living costs rising and wanting to get affordable toys and clothes for their children, I AM ONE OF THESE PEOPLE!!

We have parked multiple times in the village, NEVER blocked anyones drive, NEVER annoyed anyone and we have NEVER caused any trouble by doing this.

The neighbours in the area have actually came and spoken to us and said they have no problem with us being there and it’s nice that the small park gets used by our children when we park here and visit the carboot, so where are the complaints? 🙈

Marksbury HAVE shown their true colours and how they are mainly interested in the money coming through, rather than meeting the needs of their customers…. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED! 😤

They should be embarrassed, especially how CERTAIN people have commented about children running around at the car-boot and causing unnecessary loud behaviour….. I’ve been going for years and have never witnessed this, I’ve witnessed dogs making more noise than kids!

But again it’s a public area, so dogs can’t be dogs and children can’t be children having a run around in a field? So a child screaming and having fun is a problem? 🥴

The queue timings to get out is why people walk in, especially when it’s taking 40 minutes to get out of the field and it’s a hot day with children in the car… DO BETTER!!

We make a day trip out of it; park in the village, go to the carboot and attend the park. It’s a Sunday afternoon for us.

But apparently if you catch the bus or cycle in they don’t charge you, it’s hilarious.

I think everyone should start cycling to Marksbury if this is the case! 🚲

Sorry I’m not one to rant but after having Marksbury Car boot sale block my comments and delete me from their group chat, it has really shown their true colours and I’m baffled by it… 😡

HEAD TO WOTTON CAR-BOOT, 50P ENTRY (CHILDREN ARE FREE) AS WELL ARE PARKING 🅿️ THE PEOPLE ARE LOVELY AND DON’T EXPECT THE SILLY EXPECTATIONS!

It’s getting too expensive

Prices are higher for selling than printed here, just did booty got charged £17 for transit, cars are now £10, other than that all good

Best car boot around can’t beat it
